Back to the Beginning with KRC

May 2022 – Lansing, MI – The Kingdom Rock Kids Choir presented a musical entitled, “Back to the Beginning”. This musical adventure through time was created by Christy Semsen and arranged by Daniel Semsen.

As the Semsens describe it, “The scene opens up at a rustic campground in the mountains when a few campers hear a strange sound. Norman, the camp counselor, recognizing the all-too-familiar sound, leaves the group to investigate and finds Finn, a good kid who has been spending too much time with the rebellious Rigsby brothers, and the H.O. 2000 Time Machine. Wanting to impress his two new “friends,” Finn had activated the machine and lost the Rigsby brothers… back in the Garden of Eden! Ready to embark on an unplanned adventure, the campers jump into the H.O. 2000 to find the lost boys and end up traveling back through time, visiting the same campsite in 2000, 1995, 1978, 1955, 1808, and finally, making it all the way back to Creation!”

Each rehearsal consisted of preparations for the musical presentation and a devotional thematically tied to the musical. The musical was directed by Carol Felgenhour, Aline Srouji, and Erin Liell and assisted by Nancy Bassett. Corb Felgenhour designed the set and was the Executive Producer. There were multiple child soloists and dance groups. The Kingdom Rock Choir has 45 plus students ranging from 3rd to 6th grade.
