Works of Gilbert & Sullivan performed by the Steiner Chorale

800_6948May 13, 2016 – The Steiner Chorale performed a selection of works by Gilbert & Sullivan at Central United Methodist Church in downtown Lansing, Michigan.  This particular concert was combined with their annual silent auction to raise money for the group’s annual expenses, including the Ethel Armeling Vocal Scholarship Competition.  The chorale was conducted by Corb H. Felgenhour and emceed by Don Hoopengarner.  Solos were performed by Richard Moe, Leo Sell, Jennifer Worth, Troy Seyfert and Camille Adams, 3rd place winner of this year’s Armeling competition in March.  The chorale performed works from Mikado, The Pirates of Penzance, The Gondoliers, and HMS Pinafore.


The Steiner Chorale was organized in 1968 by William Steiner, Choral Director for East Lansing High School. Over the years, the chorale has attracted many gifted conductors and developed a reputation for high quality performances of familiar works as well as non-traditional pieces.
