Show Synopsis:

Archeological professors, Mitchigander Jones and Carolina Jones are trying to solve the mystery of stolen Biblical artifacts around the globe. Along with their students, Sam, Nathan, Judy, Sara, and Lisa, and some assistance from Dean Hollander, they attempt to thwart the maniacal plans of the evil Dr. Dubious and his sidekick, Frank, while reviewing for an exam on the four types of evidence summed up by the acronym, M.A.P.S. (Manuscript reliability, Archeological, Prophetical, Statistical) used to support the validity of the Scriptures we read today.

Cast of Characters

Mitchigander Jones – Professor of Archeology at the University. Brother of Carolina. Extremely intelligent. Always in control of himself. Sometimes gets lost in thought.

Carolina Jones – Professor of Archeology at The University. Sister to Mitchigander. Loyal to her brother. Extremely intelligent. Nurturing and encouraging to the students.

Dr. Dubious – The (secretly evil) professor of Calculus and Physics at the local University. Flip flops quickly between being overly confident to completely insecure. He is a mastermind of seemingly evil schemes and is extremely intelligent but misses obvious points of fact. When stressed, he gets heartburn.

Dean Hollander – This is his first job as Dean and has been just recently hired into the post. He is a high-strung Ned Flanders who is passionate about education, speaks in idioms and motivational phrases, and prefers doing things by the book.

Frank – Loyal assistant and side-kick to Dr. Dubious. He is always willing to give his opinion but is very passive aggressive. Obsessed with correcting Dubious in order to be helpful. His voice is a bit annoying. He is very aware of Dubious’s heart burn issues and wants to help him.

Lisa – Student. Very bright but not a follower of Jesus for most of the script. Analytical thinker.

Nathan – Student. Happy-go-lucky. Loves reading news stories on his tablet.

Sam – Student. More regimented and very loyal to the Jones’. Almost a teacher’s pet wannabe, but not quite. Very smart and aware.

Judy – Student. Obsessed with doing well on the big test. A worrier but very amiable.

Sara – Student. Passionate about note-taking. Always wants to check the record. A little more reserved than Judy.

Police Chief – from New York. Calm and collected. Always has things under control. Highly experienced.

Eddie – Slow in tenacity and energy, Ex-Mafia sounding, good-guy, janitor.

Willie Staup – News Anchor (pre-recorded) 3 different News anchors or they all could be combined into one part. Cocky and loves his last name.

Deirdre Campbelonni – Reporter (pre-recorded) There are several different reporters. Could all be combined into one single role.

Marion Ravenbird – Reporter (pre-recorded) There are several different reporters. Could all be combined into one single role.

Minions – all dressed similarly in linens and cotton. Hard working, yet disgruntled worker slaves to Dubious.

Policemen – Loyal to the Police Chief. Diligent in their duties. Perfect in their execution of those duties. When given an order, they perform it with fervor and always say “Hep” as they run around doing their duty. When standing still, they are always at attention and silent awaiting the next order.

Camera Operator – (pre-recorded) Enamored with Dr. Dubious. One line.

Boxing Announcer – During the song, “The Right Bible”, announces the Bible as the world champion of all books of antiquity in all of history.

News Voiceover – One line, the narration over the news bumper music (Could be pre-recorded)
